Dan has worked in the construction industry since 1996. He graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2000 with a degree in Human Resources Management and General Management. He obtained his residential building contractor license in 2004 and continues to provide southern Minnesota with quality new construction and remodeling. Dan joined Minnesota deck builders UglyDeck.com as a franchisee in late 2013.
Dan is married and has four children. He was born and raised in Southern Minnesota and has lived in Eagle Lake for the past 22 years.

When I am not working in the office, I love to give back to the community by volunteering my time both in and out of the classrooms with Junior Achievement. I love helping educate youth to better prepare them with financial literacy.
I also enjoy coaching many youth sports for my kids. Anything from baseball, football, to hockey, I love giving my time to help not just make better players but also better people.

Tim Flynn is the founder and Executive Director of Karate Chop Bullying, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Mankato, Minnesota, that delivers hands on confidence programs for kids and teens. Through interactive seminars and skill building workshops, Tim teaches young people how to stand up for themselves, handle conflict, and build real self confidence they can use in everyday life.
Tim is also the owner and lead instructor at Kato Karate in Mankato, Minnesota, where he has spent years helping children build leadership, discipline, and confidence through martial arts. His work at Kato Karate helped inspire the creation of Karate Chop Bullying and continues to support the mission behind it.
He is also the host of the Breaking Bullying podcast, where he shares powerful stories, interviews experts, and explores practical strategies for preventing bullying in schools, sports, and communities.
Having experienced bullying firsthand, Tim uses his personal journey to inspire others and help students realize their voice matters. He works closely with schools, youth organizations, and community partners across the country to promote resilience, self discipline, and confidence through a proven movement based approach.
Outside of his nonprofit work, Tim continues to advocate for youth fitness and development, creating safe spaces where kids can grow stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally.
